Playing with Friends
This version of the app includes capabilities to play with friends over the internet. Your friends will need an iOS device like iPhone, iPad, or iPodTouch. You can play with just one other friend and the app will play for any empty seats. More friends can watch the game from Bench and you can move players between Bench and Chairs at end of a hand.
Note: this multi-player feature is being gradually rolled out. So, you may not find this option on your app yet. If not there, it will be available soon.
The app also includes an integrated chat room to text chat with other players in the room. Key events and status messages of the game will also be posted in this room.

How to play:
You need to register/login first. You will need a valid email id to register the first time. Use the [play with friends] option from the home screen to go online. Once online, you can Host a game room and invite your friends, or if you received an invitation from a friend, join his room by clicking the link from invitation message.Hosting a Game Room:
On logging in, you will be taken to the Lobby. You can start a new game by pressing [Host a game] button if it is enabled. This button is disabled if you are already checked in to another game. In that case, you need to exit that game first before you can host a new game.
You need to enter a name for your game room when prompted. After validating your status, a new game room is created for you with a table and six chairs. Now, using the invitation icon (left side - middle), you can send invites to your friends using communication apps on your device like email, text, WhatsApp, etc. The message contains a link that needs to be selected by the receiving player on an iOS device. If 28 app is not installed on their device, they will be directed to Apple AppStore to download the 28 App.
Once the invitee starts the 28 app by clicking the link from the invitation and logging in, he/she will be automatically checked-in to your room. From the Lobby, he/she can join your game by selecting the [Go to Table] button.
You need at least 2 players on the table to start a game. New players will be on the Bench on entry. Host can move players between the Bench and chairs at the beginning of the first game and also at the end of each hand/game. The Host will always be seated in chair#1; all other players can be moved by dragging profile images to desired locations on the screen. Once everybody is placed as you want, you can start the gameplay by pressing the START button.

Joining a Hosted game room:
You need an invite from a Host or another player currently in the game room. Once you have the invitation message, you can join by clicking the link from the invite. An invitation is generally active for half an hour. Once you click the link and log in, you will be automatically checked into the game room. You will not have a chair assigned yet and will be on the Bench. The Host can assign you a seat, and you can start playing. While you are on Bench, you can watch the game in progress from the Host's perspective.
Leaving a game:
You can move out of a game room to lobby and to other game options by selecting the [Go to Lobby] options by clicking the MOON icon in the online game room.
As a host, if you leave your game room, the gameplay will be paused for all other players. So, make sure you are not away from the room while the game is in progress and can end hosting if you are no longer interested in the game. You can end hosting by selecting the appropriate menu option by clicking the MOON icon on the table.
As a guest, you can check out any time without impacting other players by selecting the appropriate menu option by clicking the MOON icon on the table. If you are not at the table for your turn, the Host can suspend you so that the app will automatically play your turn. The Host can reinstate you any time, or you can do it yourself at the end of a game.
